Hello
Again!
I’m back to give a quick update on how I’ve been doing.
Inspiring? down? blah? perhaps that’s
how my blog will be interpreted by anyone who takes the time to read it, hope
you enjoy.
Today was a snack eating kind of day, besides having a healthy breakfast, and just snacking in between, the long ride with friends out of town. Hours later we made a stop and indulged in mouth watery Nyama choma and Ugali. Delamere in Naivasha anyone? Well..once in a while, having a cheat day is allowed! Tomorrow on the other
hand will be a different story all together. I have been doing well with my
calories but slacked a bit this week. Tomorrow is a new day and I am not
going to dwell on the fact that I have not eaten the best this past week, it is
what it is and it’s time to move on!
On a positive note, another week is in
the books. First, the top 40 under 40 2015 list is out, then some lovely kinds words from super
supportive group of women.
When it comes to things I value in life, fun is way up there! I choose to say
something positive. The other week at the gym, a lady stopped me and really
wanted to hear my story. Ninette I hope you read this...that's when I knew for
sure I have a story to tell.
So what’s been working well since we last spoke? well..Starting the day out right has been a huge motivation. Drinking lots of water, filling my body with fuel i.e. Work-out at 5.00am, doing morning Jogs, lots of toning exercises and oh! I’ve just started doing weights! Lots of reading and Inspiring myself. ALWAYS remember...healthy is happy.
My day at the gym everyday starts with
40 minutes tread run. 50 sets of jumping jacks, 40 sets of chest press, 30 sets
of squats, 15 sets of arm circles, 15 sets of push ups.
So, I have made a plan and decided that I will continue doing this, I need to do this for myself.
I want to feel good about myself;
I want to be always happy when I look on the mirror;
I want to look gorgeous, smart and confident, ALWAYS;
I want to motivate many;
Baby steps.. that's what they say right?
Once upon a time there was this lady who was not able to live the life that she's living right now, once upon a time I lived a life doing things that I can’t
do at this moment and living in the now of life has got to become the way of
me. This time around I know how it feels to be healthy and being able to do
what I please.
I have my health and continue to work
toward keeping and improving it. sharing my story gives me perspective, keeps
me grounded, helps me to give thanks, and also to appreciate the journey. It
may even help a few people from time to time which is an extra bonus.
I still stay focused on eating right
and trust that my body will take care of the rest.
To the numbers! Previous Weight — 107kg Current
Weight — 73.5kgs
See? This is real! All you have to do is stay focused! I’m really happy with
my scale. Sometimes, when we think our bodies aren’t reacting to working out
and eating right, we need to just relax and give it a chance.
My old pants don’t fit!My bootay is popping thanks to squats!!
My lifts are spot on! thanks to weights. I am eating healthy and seeing the
results I want. I'm so incredibly grateful for my new life!
